About Royal Doulton

The Royal Doulton collections are one part of three parts of the Doulton Home company. Besides Royal Doulton, there is the Royal Albert line of china dinnerware and the Minton line of ornaments and dinnerware. Royal Doulton can be traced back to 1815 in Lambeth, London, England making stoneware. During the Victorian era they developed a portfolio of tableware and commemoratives. In 1882 they moved to "The Potteries" and in 1902 they attained a "Royal Warrant" to put the Royal in Royal Doulton. They continue their fine china dinnerware today.
